identify -quiet bug

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

You can just junk all standard error output!

identify image.pdf 2>/dev/null
Of course if IM really had some major error then it will also be junked.

identify should notout to standard output, not standard error. As such it should not hide the result, just junk the errors.
