How can I handle several font styles from one ttf file ?

Hi all,
I have the same problem. I am trying to use ImageMagick to render text with differet weight (bold and regular) to an image from a single ttf file (it seems to be working in other applications like word or eclipse).
is there a way for ImageMagick to find the information of boldness and italic from, for example, arial.ttf?
