identify pure Vector image

Hi
Is there any way in imagemagick to check if the image format is a pure vector one or to find out if there are any scalar components in the image .As per my knowledge , even if the images have an extension of vector files like .eps ,.ai they may not be pure vectors .I need to make this check for .eps,.ai and .pdf files .
