convert removes (clipping) path

Post by josef »

Hello,

I've a problem with convert and clipping path. Photoshop clipping path should remain in jpg file.

On system 1 it's working an system 2 clipping path is removed.

Command: convert "testfile.tif" "testfile.jpg"

system 1: Windows x64, ImageMagick-6.8.7-Q16 x64
system 2: Linux version 2.6.32-358.14.1.el6.x86_64 (Red Hat 4.4.7-3), ImageMagick 6.7.9-9 2013-08-07 Q16

Any idea?

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Josef

Update: on system 2 I get message: wrong data type 7 for "Photoshop"; tag ignored.

You have two different versions of IM. The second one is much older and may either have not had that feature or it could have been a bug that was fixed in a later release.

If you provide a link to your input image, I can test on IM 6.8.7.9 Q16 Mac OSX. You can post the file to any free image hosting services such as dropbox and put the link here.
