Portable static binaries

Hello Dana;
It is very likely you do not have some of the runtime files that are not part of the distribution. I was getting that message when I was building anoteher application and all I had to do was install MS visual stuio redistributable.
For IM, I had to make a static build for win and seems to be working fine. Althught, after I reinstalled my OS, it told me it could not find one of the dlls, I think it was msvcr71.dll; and I after I downloaded the file and manually put into my system folder, it has been working just fine.
I still have not been able to get portable static binaries for Mac and have not yet had any news from IM guys so far.
