converting JPG to PDF works, but vice versa don't

Hello.

ImageMagick 6.3.3 06/29/07 Q16 is installed in my server. When I run expression "convert 1.pdf 1.jpg" there is no any result. But converting jpg or gif to pdf works well. I tried to convert a gif to pdf, and ater pdf to jpg. Situation is the same -- there is no any result. What the reason? How can I fix it?
