convert 4-color eps to 2-color eps

i'm trying and failing to convert a 4-color eps to a 2-color eps. i'm trying to keep only c and k of the cmyk color model and setting m and y to essentially zero/empty values. any help or direction would be great.. thanks.

Vector image to Vecotr image is not a good idea with IM.

any thoughts on how to make it happen with another utility?
