I can't get it working

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

You did not have JPG librarys installs at build time. or at least IM build did not find them!

If you configured and built the IM, then install the library and run configure until you see that it lists it at the end. If it still doesn't appear add configure options to tell it where the library is.
