Need help speeding up replacing a section of an image

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

Try this command:
  • convert infile.tiff -crop 1728x1000+0+24 smallerdoc.tiff -append -monochrome -compress Group4 outFile.tiff
We're using ImageMagick 6.2.8-5, the current release.
