How do I smooth out or delete pointy bits on the edge of an image

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

Here's the thing - I have many different versions of this image with various different patterns and colors. I was thinking I may have to do it manually - this is the final step in the process - but I was really hoping I would be able to do it via ImageMagick somehow so I could then automate the entire process and do a dozen or more at once. Doing it manually is a bit fiddly and time consuming especially if I have dozens of images exactly the same shape as this.

I wish I could help more. But I do not know how to do it better. Perhaps one of the other users on this forum can suggest other ideas or commands.
