Problems with build on AIX 5.3

Problems with build on AIX 5.3

I am trying to build ImageMagick 6.8.9-1 on an AIX 5.3 system with the gcc compiler.

I have run the following

./configure --without-x --without-magick-plus-plus

make

I get the following error

make: 1254-003 Cannot find rule to create target magick/ImageMagick-6.Q16.pc from dependencies.
