Enhance book printed image

I have an old picture from book you can see there:

Is it a way to make a better picture from it ?

convert k6fv.jpg -auto-level -blur 0x3 -unsharp 0x3 -auto-level k.png

This gives a reasonable result. A different unsharp sigma, or no unsharp at all, might be preferred.
