Building Static Libraries for OS X

Hello everyone,
first of all i wish happy new year to all you, then i am jumping to my question. i am trying to build static libraries to use in my Xcode project on OS X 10.9. what ever i did couldn't manage to be success. is there are one can give me step by step instruction to accomplish this?
