problem converting png to ico

I am using the precompiled ImageMagick-6.4.1-Q16 in Windows XP Pro. When converting a png to ico, the resulting ico file shows up as nothing but a transparent layer in gimp. If I save the same png to ico using gimp, it works fine. Here is the png file:



I am new to ImageMagick and please forgive me if this is an operator error

fwiw, this problem does not occur in 6.3.4.

It is a bug. The bug is in gimp, not ImageMagick. If we convert the PNG image under Windows it can ve viewed properly with a variety of Window application including IE.
