I was told, we have the newest version (from debian). The debian-version (8:6.7.7.10-5+deb7u3) is from february this year.
There's a new version since yesterday (8:6.8.9.6-1), but it's currently experimental (what's probably not the best idea for a production environment ...

I'm not the C-guy, so sorry, if there's something obvious here that I just didn't get.

I use mod_dims (https://github.com/beetlebugorg/mod_dims), and now have some problems killing my apache.
