Thanks for your reply and your web page on batch files
GS was unable to be invoked from the command line so I added the path to fix that.
I can run a GS convert on a file now but ImageMAgick still gives me issues.
BTW it doesnt matter which formats I use in the command line they all come back ...

New user of Image Magick
I am running on a virtual server running w2003
As local admin all is well but as a domain user I can key in the commands (convert etc) but a complete command line fails
C:\pdf2\out>convert 1.ps 1.pdf
convert.exe: no decode delegate for this image format `1.ps ...
